The Royal Ballet’s ‘Giselle’ at The Balboa Theater Tonight

Odette is off to see an encore performance of Marianela Nunez in the starring role of The Royal Ballet’s ‘Giselle’, filmed live in high-definition at Covent Garden and showing tonight at 7:30 at The Balboa Theater in San Francisco.

Please support this wonderful ‘Emerging Pictures’ series of Ballet, Opera, and Drama (The Royal Shakespeare Company!) that The Balboa Theater, along with other Bay Area and nationwide theaters, has been presenting. Attendance has been very low (The Vogue stopped presenting this series 2 yrs. ago);  if we want to continue to be able to see these live Ballet simulcasts, all we need to do is go.

If you haven’t seen The Bolshoi’s ‘Don Quixote’ or ‘Coppelia’, or Paris Opera Ballet’s ‘Children of Paradise’, all live simulcasts, you don’t know what you’re missing; these films  are gorgeously produced and include backstage footage, interviews, and the best seat in the house when it comes to viewing.

(Not to mention that the price is right!)

See You at the Ballet!
