Sometimes a choice needs to be made. Though I was present at last night’s long-awaited and sumptuous San Francisco Ballet premiere of John Cranko’s Onegin, gorgeously danced by all, my choice was to share Clara Blanco’s promotion, immediately following the show, to the rank of soloist and a little of her incredible journey.

As I will be attending tonight’s show and tomorrow’s, as well, I didn’t want to leave you all hanging as to what Onegin looks like. Consider this my visual gift, till I can get back to write about it all.
